Anna Falls - a stop along the way.  Skye to front of Valor is a great traveler just needing water once in awhile. But he takes up a lot of room stretching out for a mini- Aussie.   May 27, 2021 trip to Crater Lake - a three hour drive one way. With dogs, my dogs, one has to stop every two hours (and you might experience this with more sensitive dogs, dog with motion issues, dogs with ear sensitivities and even stomach issues. Other dogs can ride just fine without extra attention from human side.  Valor above needs to stop often, walk, refresh with water and sometimes potty. Inside the car has to be cozy, pillows and blankets - his bed, his blanket or he might whine. Also, he needs to have back window open and once in awhile soothing music.  Crater lake - where is it? Recommend seeing it in July to September not May. If you can’t see it, does it mean it doesn’t exist 🤣🤣🤣 Fossil steam from volcanic lava they moved through. Valor is not impressed.  Six hours meant being prepared and st

Heading to Eugene, Oregon with trips to Crater Lake, Klamath Falls (day trips of exploration with the dogs) and a journey to see the covered bridges near Cottage Grove.  In planning this time hubby headed out with one dog early and I am following in the car with other dog. Six hour drive and going to have a relaxing day getting there.  First stop ferry. Got a late start. Taking cookies for Valor so he feels comfortable in our travels. Set up back area with his bed and blanket for familiarity. Lots of water on board and pillows 😁. Hubby and I are driving separately today  Minu-Aussie, Skye, went with him RV. They are already enjoying our site facing the lake. Preparation is everything It is important for dogs who travel to have a certain routine  that routine has to be fun and mean “here we go”. I wear a certain hat, I use only for travel. The cue that we are going camping. We set up, pack, load the same way every time. We have good snacks and never raise our voices  traveling can be s
