Let’s start with a great little link I found - Traveling tips with dogs http://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fhealthypets.mercola.com%2Fsites%2Fhealthypets%2Farchive%2F2021%2F05%2F26%2Fhow-to-travel-with-a-dog.aspx%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR0WBde1CvThP0DRxDx95TYG-ntak4nLmyt1gX2Z2OhLT7czTAjwYWSKP2s&h=AT3txTR1Rzyyh7NdxsShHabKAe2mKGfkwshbi0xmw7DTwsnkAntUrZNTW4dWsFqjpKHg7-MlwkH9SlE8Ahvv0CVFgX8kqdZZpAgJjCe2fp0Y0jV7XIcWpiNiwt1jnblUVPrtkHJO4Gmf&s=1
Today 5/26 we are all de-stressing. Sleeping in. Usually dogs are up early but not after a stressful day of travel. It is really important to have dogs deeply sleep, chill out, get physical exercise after travel days.
Once up out we went for a short walk and sniff then potty and back for breakfast. Waste can be helpful to understand and look at it is evaluated based on 4 Cs- Color, Consistency, coating and Contents Have you read your dog’s waste today?
Nutrition is important I am currently going for my Master Certification in Canine Nutrition My dogs are fed Whole Foods, organic meat. Today sardines and chicken with organ and muscle meats.
Then a 20 minute digestion relaxation. Making sure your dog is well-fed and well-rested goes a long way to keeping stress levels normalized and dog coping with real life versus not coping.
We are practicing alone time in RV. Valor stayed (and wanted to) for half an hour while we sat by the lake with Skye went well!! We are practicing for a trip with our Allegro Open Road group as getting together without dogs will be done
Skye morning s good left in RV so he worked on counter conditioning to men, children and dogs He did bark once at a man and growled once at a passing dig, but he was stellar on walks Counter Conditiining is simply pairing something good with a trigger. We are always working on this to keep it strong with Skye .
